Daniel Botz received the Yes, I Can! Award

Daniel is picture with Paulette Grausam and his proud parents Daniel Botz is a shining example of a young man who has and continues to display a work ethic in all settings which enable him to achieve a standard of excellence very few young adults achieve. He ranks number two in his class with a G.P.A. of 4.0. Daniel has become a role model for his peers at Sleepy Eye High School as he has steadily gained their respect. Hi combines his unique perspective to the classroom only a student with Asperger’s syndrome can do. Daniel has written the class homecoming skit and acted in class productions. He is active in his church and participates in service projects for community theater. Currently he is employed as a dietary aide at a local care center. He is a stellar citizen, always respectful as he strives to demonstrate his strong moral values. Daniel was nominated by Paulette Grausam, one of his teachers at Sleepy Eye High School.
