The MNCEC Membership has unanimously approved the draft of the State Unit’s Constitution and Bylaws. A voice vote to adopt the constitution and bylaws took place at the membership’s annual meeting Thursday, February 16th 2006 at 8:30 a.m. during the 2006 conference in Rochester. A PDF copy of the new constitution is available to the membership to download by clicking this link.


The Minnesota Council for Exceptional Children is an organization of over 700 members. As a member you are part of the leading international association that has been helping students with exceptionalities and the individuals who serve them since 1922. You benefit from the endless work of the advocates to expand services and opportunities for every child and every individual involved in the field of special education. You share in the ongoing campaign to advance the field of special education. This includes enlightening the education community and making the public aware of special education teaching conditions and the effect this environment has on the education of all students. Journals, newsletter, conferences, workshops and other professional development activities promote discussions and networking opportunities to bring you closer with experts and professional peers.

Mission
The mission of the Minnesota Council for Exceptional Children is to improve the practices and resources of persons working on behalf of individuals with exceptionality in the State of Minnesota.
